There's a lot in the news about global warming and climate change these days. I've traced back the cause of it all and found someone to blame. Emily Pankhurst.
It all started in the 1910s when some woman was somehow allowed to get above herself. Obviously her parents didn't take a strong enough stand to her tantrums and failed to show her her rightful place in society - as subservient to men. As a result she started to get fancy ideas and started campaigning for women to be able to vote in elections. Unfortunately the government at the time must have been embarrassed by her antics and gave in just to shut her up. They awarded women the vote only if they were aged 30 or above and owned land.
It didn't stop there though. Her followers cottoned on to something and so started campaigning even more for first of all equal voting rights and eventually equality in everything. Women actually started to drive motor cars! This created far more traffic on the roads and therefore increased greenhouse gas emissions. Nowadays the most polluting cars, the dirty great 4x4s, are only ever driven by women who take their kids to school. It's a well known fact that every 4x4 on a school run produces as much greenhouse gas as 15 normal, decent, mens' cars going 300 miles at 90 mph.
And it all started because some woman wasn't satisfied with her life. Ungrateful cow! Her father, and later her husband, should have backhanded her across the face as was befitting women who spoke out of line in those days. Now, not even that's allowed these days! Bah! It's political correctness gone mad!
